But seriously, back to Day by Day for a second, I can't recall the last time that I actually laughed while reading it. It's sort of trapped in this weird "Conservative Doonsbury" zone, where it's not funny but people keep reading it because it lines up with their ideology.

The thing about Drew is that I have no idea if he really believes what his jokes say, as he seems to be keen on making fun of liberals just as often as conservatives. Hard to say if he really hates guns or if he was just going for satire.

This is something I notice a lot in the webcomic comunity. Not specific to just guns either. Everyone has thier opinions of course, but it sure as hell bothers me when I run smack dab into liberal and anti-gun politics in the middle of my enjoyment of the funnies.

Rather makes it hard for me to continue reading them for enjoyment...

But I usually manage.
